USA. Dufry company Hudson has opened a Hudson Nonstop travel retail outlet at Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A. The store is powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology and Amazon One.
Designed as “contactless and digitally powered stores”, Hudson Nonstop simplifies the in-store experience by eliminating checkout lines.
Customers just need to tap a credit card or hover their palm over the Amazon One device at the store entrance, then grab their products without having to queue up for a cashier.
In its LinkedIn post, Just Walk Out Technology said: “Check out the new Hudson Nonstop store located in Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport where travellers can experience a fast and frictionless shopping experience as they enter the store with their credit card or hover their palm with Amazon One, grab what they need, and skip the checkout.”
The opening of the new location comes as Hudson Nonstop continues its travel retail expansion drive. Last month, it opened its sixth airport location in Los Angeles Airport T3. Other locations launched are Dallas Love Field, Chicago Midway, Nashville, Dallas Fort Worth and Chicago O’Hare airports.
