Fever-Tree reveals second premium airport bar in expanded Manchester Terminal 2

UK. Fever-Tree opened a premium bar in the revamped Manchester Airport Terminal 2 yesterday (15 January). It is the drinks mixers specialist’s second such concept, following a debut at Edinburgh Airport in 2022.

Positioned within the departure lounge, the Fever-Tree Bar has a drinks-led offer and is designed as a premium, nature-inspired space aligned with the brand’s sourcing ethos.

Raising the bar: The alluring design and elegant service ambience elevate Manchester Airport T2’s food & beverage offer

A signature Fever-Tree tree installation features an 11-metre canopy extending above the bar. It echoes the botanical origins of the brand’s ingredients while complementing Terminal 2’s contemporary architecture.

The drinks choice centres on Fever-Tree’s range of premium mixers paired with a curated selection of local and international spirits.

The menu focuses on long mixed drinks, including Gin & Tonics, Highballs, Mules, Spritzes and Palomas, supported by a concise range of seasonal small plates aimed at pre-flight consumption.

The bar officially opened with a ceremony led by Fever-Tree Co-Founder and CEO Tim Warrillow alongside Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe.

The launch comes as Manchester Airport approaches completion of its £1.3 billion (US$1.7 billion) transformation programme, with the majority of its more than 50 airline partners now operating from the expanded Terminal 2.

Fever-Tree CEO and Co-Founder Tim Warrillow said: “This is an incredibly exciting moment for airport travel, and Manchester Airport’s new Terminal 2 is setting a new benchmark for the passenger experience.

The Manchester bar follows in the highly impactful footprint of the original Edinburgh Airport incarnation

“After the fantastic reception to our first airport bar at Edinburgh Airport, we are delighted to bring Fever-Tree to Manchester and to be part of the transformed T2 offering.

“We look forward to welcoming passengers to enjoy perfectly mixed long drinks in a space inspired by the natural world behind our mixers.”

Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe commented: “Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to connect the North to the world, with the greatest route network of any UK airport outside London.

“We’ve invested £1.3 billion in our brand-new, award-winning Terminal 2 so that we now have the facilities to deliver a truly world-leading airport experience.

“Fever-Tree is a fantastic addition to the departure lounge – it is a brilliantly designed space where passengers can relax in style ahead of their flights.

“It brings something new and unique to the airport and I’m sure our passengers will love it.”
