Floral sparkler: Florian Franciacorta Brut Royal wine

ITALY. Caffè Florian has boosted its range of gourmet products with a number of new items, which were highlighted at the 2007 TFWA World Exhibition.

Florian Franciacorta Brut Royal: A full-bodied dry sparkling wine from the plateau vineyards in the Franciacorta area of Italy, described as pale yellow in colour, fragrant and with a bouquet of flowers and fruit. The wine is refined in its own 75cl bottle using the Classic Method at a constant temperature.

Pralines Selection: Pralines in four flavours: coffee, coconut, Piemontese hazelnut and walnut. Packed in a 96g elegant box or loose.

Florian Extra Jam Selection: A new selection of jams is being introduced using only fresh fruit. Florian offers 200g jars in apricot, strawberry and orange flavours, as well as a selection of six tastes (apricot, strawberry, orange, cherry, fig, tangerine) packaged in 40g jars.

Retail expansion

In July 2007, Caffè Florian signed an exclusive agreement with King Power Korea, which manages Florian’s development in South Korea, to open several retail coffee shops. King Power Korea is a 100% subsidiary of prominent travel retailer King Power Hong Kong.

Over the last few years, Florian Coffee Retail Shops have opened in Florence, just off of fashionable shopping street Via Tornabuoni, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Guests can purchase products from the Florian collections while enjoying Caffè Florian’s elegant atmosphere and silver-platter Italian service.

The Florian boutique concept is described as a contemporary interpretation of the company’s world-famous San Marco Caffè in Venice, which dates back to 1720. Pastel colours inspired by the original 19th Century frescoes predominate and select Italian materials, including velvets and mosaics, are a major feature.

In travel retail, the Florian collections are found onboard Silversea and Disney cruise ships, and at Venice Marco Polo and Treviso airports.

About Caffè Florian

Caffè Florian first opened its doors in Piazza San Marco, Venice in 1720. Products bearing the Florian brand name are designed to represent the art of elegant living. Based on Florian’s long-standing tradition and its link with Venice, the collection spans both the gourmet category (coffees, cocoa, chocolate, teas, wines and liqueurs and other Italian products) and lifestyle products (porcelain, books, CDs, design objects, textiles, ambience perfumes and works of art). The motif on the gift packaging reproduces the marbled floors of Saint Mark’s Cathedral. All packaging is printed on quality Italian paper and is made in Italy.
