Swedish beauty tech and wellness brand Foreo has underlined the importance of post-beach, post-sun skincare in its latest message to its fast-growing Chinese consumer audience.
“Since last year’s summer holidays were cancelled, this year people are gearing up to finally head off to a long-awaited beach holiday. With Sanya, Hainan being the most popular destination for the upcoming Qing-ming holiday in China, we’re sure your bags are packed and ready to go,” Foreo said in a statement.
Noting that while any wise beachgoer faithfully packs a high SPF sunscreen, plenty of water and a wide-brimmed hat to protect themselves, Foreo emphasised the role of skincare post-beach time.
“Because you’re packing light, there are three essentials you need to focus on,” it said. “Cleansing, cooling down, and rejuvenating. Cleansing is the absolute key step in a beach-holiday routine. As your skin is going to be covered with a mixture of heavy sunscreen, makeup, sweat and salt, you’re going to need to double down on removing it.”
Foreo’s LUNA mini 3 removes all impurities on your skin in just 30 seconds in its ‘Glow Boost Mode’, leaving a glowing and recharged complexion, the company noted.
“Harsh UV rays can irritate your skin and make it feel hot – the secret Foreo tip to cure this is to put a UFO sheet mask inside the fridge, and then use it on your face with the UFO 2. It offers cryo-therapy mode, which uses low temperatures to invigorate skin and treat puffiness and redness. Paired with the orange LED light which targets sun damage, your skin will be revitalised in no time.
“We’d recommend pairing with the Farm to Face Bulgarian Rose mask, which will soothe the skin with its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, all using the powers of rosewater.”
In terms of rejuvenation time, Foreo recommended balancing out hydration levels of the skin by infusing it full of nutrients and hydration – noting that its Farm to Face masks are ideal for this.
Foreo offers a range of options: Coconut Oil to hydrate, Bulgarian Rose to transform dull and dry skin, Green Tea to purify, Manuka Honey to nourish, or Acai Berry for an anti-ageing boost.
By pairing with the UFO 2 device and its special cryo-therapy and thermo-therapy functions, consumers can settle in for a quick 90-second mask routine to transform their complexion into a post-holiday glow, Foreo said.
