FRANCE. Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Beauté is poised to re-introduce its limited edition In Love Again fragrance, created in 1998 to commemorate designer Yves Saint Laurent’s forty years in the fashion business. This time around, it will celebrate the 40th-year anniversary of the company’s first fragrance launch, Y.
The 2004 version, which will be available from March to December, will feature the same juice as the original, but presented in revamped packaging. Unlike the original In Love Again fragrance, however, it will not be complemented by a limited edition make-up collection.
The first In Love Again line far exceeded forecasts, and succeeded in attracting new, younger consumers to the brand, in addition to shoring up sales of the company’s classic fragrance portfolio.
YSL has created a 2 x 100ml duo pack specifically for travel retail, which will retail at about €69.
In addition, a new women’s fragrance from YSL will be introduced in the second half of next year.
Within make-up, YSL has created a new Colour Expert initiative for travel retail. About 17 sales assistants in Europe have been selected for special make-up artist training, in a bid to enhance and improve the company’s customer service. The staff, who are easily recognisable thanks to special badges and “˜tool belts’, will offer complimentary make-overs and advice to travellers. YSL plans to extend the scheme to Asia and the Americas.
