Fraport USA extends retail offer at New York JFK Airport T5 with three store openings

USA. Concessions developer Fraport USA has partnered with Paradies Lagardère to open three stores at New York JFK International Airport Terminal 5, which is dedicated to JetBlue flights.

Besides enhancing the airport’s commercial offer, the stores provide a venue to showcase local artisanal products, Fraport USA said.

Fraport New York Vice President Lillian Tan said: “We are excited to work with Paradies Lagardère to open these three great retail brands at John F. Kennedy International Airport and give travellers the next level and innovative experience they have come to expect at Terminal 5.”

Paradies Lagardère President and CEO Gregg Paradies added: “We are extremely excited to open this trio of new retail stores at JFK’s Terminal 5 as each will offer a unique shopping experience for the JetBlue traveller.

“Through our great partnership with Fraport, JetBlue, and the Port Authority, we are delivering the very first Univision-branded travel essentials store to a New York airport, our first New Stand retail store, and our Supply Five Co. that showcases great products from local artisans. We look forward to enhancing the travel experience in Terminal 5 with this new programme.”

The concepts in detail:

Univision (North Concourse – Gate 24 | 843 SF):  The concept appeals to a broad base of travellers in T5 with Latin American destinations. It features dedicated content on the store screen and offers travel accessories, beverages, health & beauty items and other essentials.

New Stand (South Concourse – Gate 6 | 238 SF): The store provides souvenirs, accessories, reading materials and travel essentials. It also has a free mobile app that contains entertainment articles, music, deals and a digital wallet. JetBlue travellers can also avail of cross-promotional deals from the store.

Supply Five Co. (East Concourse – Gate 11 | 954 SF): This new retail venue features a design that reflects New York’s five boroughs and offers lifestyle products and souvenirs made by local artisans.

JetBlue has started its partnership with Fraport USA in April 2018 to run the day-to-day operations of its home terminal at the airport. Their collaboration has continued to bring enhanced retail experiences with New York-inspired lineup of shops and restaurants.
