Frédérique Constant teams up with Spanish model/actress Inès Sastre to support the World Heart Federation’s “Hearts of Children” campaign |
Frédérique Constant has announced that Inès Sastre, the model, actress and UNICEF representative, will be the brand’s female charity ambassador for the next two years.
Sastre will play a major role in Frédérique Constant’s support of the World Heart Federation, the Swiss watch brand said.
This collaboration will include the launch of a Ladies World Heart Federation collection, in addition to the US$50,000 the company donated on September 2012, during World Heart Day in Los Angeles.
One hundred watches will be produced and donated to the World Heart Federation member organisations to support its actions aimed at preventing cardiovascular diseases in women and children worldwide.
Four new watch models support the Hearts of Children campaign
The Ladies World Heart Federation Automatic Collection is a series of four models to support the Federation’s Hearts of Children campaign.
The new models are inspired by the FC-310 automatic winding movement, which is said to provide accuracy, reliability and durability, with 38-hour power reserve and water-resistant to 60 metres.
The timepieces feature a silver dial, along with the Double Heart Beat aperture at the 12 o’clock position. A sapphire crystal see-through case back enables the wearer to see the rose gold-plated rotor, engraved with the World Heart Federation logo, a Hearts of Children decoration and sunray bridges.
The 34mm case and dial are enhanced with eight hand-applied VS quality diamond indexes and outer ring finished in mother-of-pearl. Each of these new models is presented in a heart-shaped World Heart Federation gift box.
Of the two stainless steel models, the FC-310WHF2P6 is presented with a striking, dark grey satin strap with red lining and folding buckle. The FC-310WHF2PD6 has 48 additional VS diamonds set in the bezel, presented on a white alligator strap with red lining and folding buckle.
The first of the rose gold-plated models, the FC-310WHF2P4, has 48 VS diamonds in the bezel that stand out against the rose gold-plated case. Both come with a contrasting vanilla satin strap, red lining and folding buckle.
Born in 1973 in Spain, Sastre was awarded Elite Model Agency’s “Look of the Year” in 1989, and later won the 1997 beauty trophy at the Paris Fashion Awards. By the age of 15, she was given an acting part in Carlos Saura’s “El Dorado” film.
“Today, we look forward to working closely with Inès and the World Heart Federation in the Hearts of Children campaign. Heart disease kills one person every two seconds, but through education and awareness activities we hope to make a positive impact in the battle against cardiovascular disease,” Frédérique Constant said.
