Mario Testino: Furla’s new creative partner |
Italian leathergoods house Furla has announced a creative partnership with Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino to shape its artistic image.
The move is said to be the first initiative of a strong and focused marketing strategy, aimed at bringing Furla to the next stage of its international growth.
Starting with the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, Furla will develop a 360-degree project to set the tone and communication codes of the brand.
The partnership aims to convey the brand’s “colourful, joyful and contagious Italian lifestyle mood that celebrates both its iconic and novelty products with a strong mix of quality and innovation”.
This will be reflected in the advertising campaign for media and outdoor, in window display, in-store and web catalogs as well as in videos for the website, social media platforms and for PR purposes.
Furla Chief Executive Officer Eraldo Poletto said: “This is a very exciting and positive time for the brand. We are proud to begin this partnership with such a great artist like Mario Testino. His creativity will project Furla to the next level of its global evolution.”
Mario Testino commented: “Furla is about energy, life and colours. When I look at the product, I imagine whoever is wearing it is having a great time. It’s a great journey we are beginning together.”
In other news, Furla has opened a new personalised corner in at Haneda International Airport, in partnership with JAL-DFS. The store opened recently with the brand’s AW14 collection.
