GERMANY. Following the recent success of its “˜Big City Heat’ shopping event held at Munich Airport in May, Gebr Heinemann has announced the launch of its latest “˜Pacific Paradise’ retail promotion.
For one month only the event area in Munich Airport’s Terminal 2 Level 4 is being transformed into an exotic shopping paradise, with passengers invited to begin their “˜south sea vacation’ at Munich Airport.

The 35sq m retail area is to be decorated with palms trees and bamboo plants, creating an exotic south sea atmosphere for customers to enjoy while enjoying shopping for attractive summer products.
“Scents of summer are offered in fragrances from Elizabeth Arden, Lolita Lempicka, Boss, Lacoste, Escada, Prada, Nina Ricci and Kenzo, while the sweet temptations of Raffaelo and Bounty will give shoppers a taste of the Pacific,” said Gebr Heinemann, which developed the concept for Munich Airport’s in-house travel retailer Eurotrade.
The latest trends in sunglasses are being offered by Maui Jim and Ray-Ban, while schmuck-art presents its range of jewellery chains and rings.
A bamboo beach bar has also been erected in the retail area inviting customers to “˜taste the south sea dream’ with drinks from Havanna Club, Malibu and Cachaca from Pitu.
Eurotrade General Manager Hellmut Gebhardt said: “After the success of Big City Heat in May, we again offer our customers exclusive brands in an exciting atmosphere. We are stimulating our customer with a new purchasing impulse.”
