Astana Duty Free formerly operated the shops in the old terminal until it was closed.
Passenger numbers have risen quickly at the Kazakhstan capital’s new terminal, from approximately 90,000 in 2005 to around 120,000 last year 2006, with estimates for 2007 predicting a +30-35% year-on-year increase, to 160,000.
