‘Gifts of Pure Magic’ – Estée Lauder Travel Retail and China Duty Free Group laud Hainan pop-up campaign

CHINA. Estée Lauder Travel Retail and China Duty Free are celebrating the success of an ambitious pop-up campaign held in Hainan last month to celebrate the key year-end holiday season.

The ‘Gifts of Pure Magic’ retail pop-ups were launched in Sanya and Haikou. They featured an indulgent collaboration with Italian luxury chocolatier Venchi and exclusive travel sets, designed to bring the magic of beauty to consumers and elevate the holiday gifting experience.

From December 1 to 29, consumers at cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex Global Beauty Plaza and cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex were invited into the pop-ups, each anchored by a magic hat installation.

These were surrounded by opulent red and gold décor designed to embody the warmth and splendour of the holiday season. Gleaming gift boxes, festive arches and intricate golden accents immersed guests in Estée Lauder’s festive world of beauty and wonder.

The campaign marked the seventh consecutive annual collaboration with CDFG on a year-end holiday-themed promotion.

A makeover service delivered professional transformations, while an interactive photobooth allowed guests to capture their festive glow.

Shoppers also received a curated sampling kit, offering the chance to explore Estée Lauder skincare and makeup.

Makeup masterclasses saw skilled artists offer guests expert techniques and personalised tips.

The Venchi collaboration was designed to create an indulgent holiday experience. Estée Lauder consumers could savour a complimentary Venchi gelato, while Venchi customers received exclusive Estée Lauder gifts.

Estée Lauder brought its festive spirit online with two interactive livestream events on CDFG’s online platforms. Featuring pop singer Yao Chen and fashion and beauty KOL Olivia, the sessions invited audiences to explore the art of gifting.

In collaboration with CDFG, Estée Lauder introduced an array of travel-exclusive sets designed to capture the holiday spirit and bring the magic of beauty to Hainan travel retail consumers.

The Estée Lauder Nighttime Essentials Set, a CDFG-exclusive gift, brought what the brand dubbed a touch of vitality and hydration magic to consumers’ skincare routines.

Estée Lauder described the set, curated to rejuvenate skin after a day of holiday adventures, as ideal for travellers visiting Hainan, where the tropical climate and vibrant experiences call for a regimen that restores and replenishes skin overnight.

The set includes Advanced Night Repair Serum (100ml) and Advanced Night Repair Eye Gel Creme (15ml), which work to repair and hydrate, ensuring a refreshed, radiant complexion.

These are complemented by the Advanced Night Cleansing Gelée (100ml), Revitalizing Supreme+ Treatment Lotion (200ml), and Revitalizing Supreme+ Youth Power Soft Creme (100ml).
