VENEZUELA. Giromondo, an FMCG company with business in the USA, Chile and Venezuela, has unveiled its latest concept at Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport on 20 June.

As reported, the company is owned by Ricard Guasch and Alessandro Battellino, who recently acquired Latin American travel retailer Duty Free LATAM from former owner Marcos Encalada through their joint venture.

Located in the international departures terminal, Dôme represents a key milestone in the company’s bold expansion strategy and forward-looking vision.

Highlighting its commitment to delivering distinctive and memorable shopping experiences for global travellers, the innovative retail concept blends locally inspired offerings with premium international products.

In a social media post, the company said: “Our goal is for every traveller – whether Venezuelan or international – to leave our store with more than just a souvenir or a luxury item. We want them to take with them a story, a flavour, an aroma – a piece of Venezuela.”

Giromondo also described this expansion as a “symbol of confidence in the country’s future and commitment to growth, and a bridge between the local and the global”.

Alongside international brands, the concept showcases Venezuelan brands and local entrepreneurs, offering authentic products that evoke a strong sense of place.
