Glenfiddich (William Grant & Sons) has released a limited-edition 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, created to mark the first year of its partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team.

The travel retail-exclusive expression will launch in September (RRP £130/US$176).

According to William Grant & Sons, the whisky reflects the shared values of “precision, complexity and refinement” that underpin both Glenfiddich and Aston Martin.

The 19 Year Old was matured in a combination of hand-selected American and European oak casks, complemented by Montilla wine casks. The combination of casks has created a vibrant and complex whisky with notes of Seville oranges and warm, woody spices.

Glenfiddich’s multi-year partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team was announced last November. The collaboration was unveiled at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman commented: “At Glenfiddich, our dedication to excellence drives us to continuously refine our craft. The Glenfiddich 19 Year Old is a whisky that showcases the perfect blend of tradition and innovation, drawing inspiration from the same precision and intuition that defines the Aston Martin Formula One Team.

“It’s a whisky that challenges the limits of complexity and refinement, making it a true reflection of both our heritage and the future.”

On the nose, the whisky opens with notes of raisins, dates, walnut loaf and dark chocolate, Seville orange, sticky marmalade and treacle pudding. On the palate, it delivers vibrant flavours of warm, woody spices with ground nutmeg, cinnamon, a hint of liquorice and a buttery pastry character. The finish is long and lingering, marked by woody spice notes.

Glenfiddich Global Brand Director Claudia Falcone commented: “We are thrilled to unveil this limited edition bottling in celebration of our partnership with Aston Martin Formula One Team.

“Through this collaboration we invite enthusiasts worldwide to engage with these two iconic brands in bold new ways and create memorable moments that reach far beyond the racetrack. This limited-edition bottling is just the beginning as we continue to write the next chapter together.”
