UK. Moët Hennessy Travel Retail Europe has celebrated the opening of the Glenmorangie boutique at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 in partnership with Dufry.

In a LinkedIn post by Heathrow Senior Account Manager, Duty Free Catherine Martin, the photos show the store with an in-house bar concept offering Glenmorangie’s collections, with a focus on its latest limited-edition expression, A Tale of Tokyo. The bar includes a lush and leafy display highlighting the new whisky.

A Tale of Tokyo combines what is described as bright, bold flavours with soft sweetness. It is crafted using Glenmorangie part aged in Mizunara oak combined with whisky that has spent time in both sherry and bourbon casks, reflecting the brand’s house style.

Described as ‘powerfully herbal’, the whisky offers hints of toffee contrasted by incense and saddle-soap, followed by a resinous note and a touch of cedar wood.

A Tale of Tokyo was crafted by Glenmorangie’s Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden. The new expression was inspired by the memories, feelings and flavours of Lumsden’s frequent trips to Tokyo and his desire to experiment with rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks.

The A Tale of Tokyo whisky is presented in a bottle adorned with the artwork of Japanese artist Yamaguchi Akira. ✈
