Hawaiian Host poised to present fresh product offer in Singapore

Hawaiian Host returns to the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition this year where it will present a new selection of products alongside recently acquired company Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation (stand number E28).

The company will preview new Tropical Fruit Bites, a 170g bag containing real fruit centres including banana, coconut and pineapple, covered in Hawaiian Host’s milk or dark chocolate.

Hawaiian Host Managing Director of Sales Asia Pacific Earl Kurisu said: “The Tropical Fruit bites are a new departure for Hawaiian Host, but we believe they have lots of potential. We have been working for a long time on developing this combination of fruit and chocolate to get a delicious result, something very different from anything else we have on offer.”

The brand will also highlight the Hawaiian Host Classic Collection, a 16-piece assortment of classic flavours in one box: original milk chocolate macadamias, honey-coated macadamias, white chocolate macadamias and dark chocolate macadamias.

Hawaiian Host will also be joined by its new subsidiary company Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation, recently acquired from The Hershey Company. For travel retail, Mauna Loa is represented in Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong and Okinawa.

In other news, Hawaiian Host recently partnered with Malaysian confectionery retailer Choc Stop International to execute a promotion at Choc Stop’s Satellite store in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The activation featured staff dressed in traditional Hawaiian dresses, visual promotional panels, as well as high tech gondola ends. Consumers who bought RM120 (US$33) worth of Hawaiian Host products received a special Hawaiian Host 142g box.

According to Hawaiian Host, the promotion helped to achieve record sales.
