CANADA. HDS Retail North America is has entered into an exclusive agreement with speciality retailer Brookstone for North American airport stores. HDS Retail will carry Brookstone merchandise in its stores and it has the licence to develop and operate stand-alone Brookstone stores at Canadian airports.
Brookstone is a multi-channel retailer and manufacturer of lifestyle products with a strong Internet business. It is already available at some US airports but until now had no Canadian airport business. Its products range from electronics to homeware to games.
HDS Retail said: “This innovative partnership supports Brookstone’s growth strategy of aggressively pursuing new markets while making the company’s exciting and unique merchandise available to travellers in Canada from coast to coast.”
