Healthy option: Areas opens new La Place at Madrid-Barajas Airport

SPAIN. Food & beverage and travel retail specialist Areas has unveiled a new La Place healthy fast food concept at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.

Located in Terminal 1 with 140sq m of space and seating for 44, it is the fourth opening of its kind in Spanish airports and the second at Madrid-Barajas. As reported, the first opened here in May 2018.

Dutch brand La Place is offering a wide range of sandwiches, focaccias, salads, soups, pizzas, snacks and desserts based on fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as dairy products.

Areas said that every dish is made with natural ingredients, some with organic ingredients, and with no artificial substances added.

La Place is also a coffee shop serving sweet pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, smoothies and fruit juices.

The brand now has more than 100 outlets in city centres, airports, train stations, highways and shopping malls in Europe, North America and Asia.

Areas is the main food & beverage operator at Madrid-Barajas, Spain’s busiest airport, and now manages more than 50 outlets from 26 different brands.
