NEW ZEALAND. Heinemann Oceania is highlighting two sustainable and exclusive retail concepts in Auckland Airport in celebration of World Environment Day (5 June).
These are the retailer’s pre-owned watches retail concept and its private label lab diamond jewellery range. Both are located in the recently opened Luxury Timepieces multi-brand store.
As reported, Heinemann Oceania recently made its debut in Auckland Airport with three multi-brand concepts that offer luxury timepieces and jewellery as well as luxury fashion and premium fashion.
Heinemann Oceania commented: “At Heinemann, sustainability is part of our DNA and we are committed to promoting environmental, social and economic sustainability. These two new sustainable product portfolios at Auckland Airport not only to further our mission to become the most sustainable global travel retailer, but to address growing consumer demand.”
The popularity of the pre-owned watches retail concept is underlined by data from global consulting firm McKinsey that estimates the resale sector will see +10-15% annual growth over the next ten years as luxury consumers adopt more circular lifestyles.
Heinemann Oceania said lab diamonds now make up almost 20% of the global diamond jewellery market. This is driven by more accessible price points and more environmentally conscious consumers.
Lab diamonds and mined diamonds share the same chemical, physical and optical attributes. However, lab diamonds don’t have the same environmental and ethical risks as their mined counterparts, the retailer said. ✈
