FRANCE. Maison Hennessy has opened its first dedicated boutique at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport Terminal 1.
The store is part of the luxury shopping gallery at the newly upgraded terminal. It is a partnership with Paris Aéroport (Groupe ADP) and Extime Duty Free (the joint venture between Lagardère Travel Retail and Groupe ADP).
The boutique showcases the Cognac house’s French heritage and expertise. It offers Hennessy’s best-selling lines as well as limited-edition expressions and a suite of personalisation services.
The shop-in-shop expands the original architectural concept designed by French interior designer Hubert de Malherbe for the airport’s Les Caves Particulières multi-brand store inaugurated in September 2021. The store design was inspired by Hennessy’s original shipping crates, which transported its Cognac from the Charentes River to the world in 1765.
Commenting on the opening, Maison Hennessy President and CEO Laurent Boillot commented: “Maison Hennessy is very proud to inaugurate our newest travel retail experience at the historic Paris Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1.

“Having explored the world for more than 250 years, we are committed to further enriching the travel experience by showcasing French savoir-faire in an environment dedicated entirely to the Hennessy art of Cognac-making that features some of the most celebrated blends ever produced.”
The boutique offers an exclusive assortment of Hennessy products including the Hennessy X.O, Hennessy V.S., Hennessy V.S.O.P and James Hennessy lines. Rare expression such as Hennessy Paradis, Richard Hennessy and Edition Particulière are also available.
Travellers at Paris CDG can shop exclusive expressions and special formats including bottles that feature the works of artists, designers and legacy houses such as leather maker Berluti and porcelain specialists Bernardaud. A limited-edition, travel retail-exclusive Paris-inspired Hennessy X.O expression is also available.
At the Hennessy Hands zone, shoppers can personalise their Hennessy Paradis purchases with leather accessories that can be customised with their initials or various symbols. The bespoke service honours the craftsmanship traditions that have been passed down within Maison Hennessy for over 250 years.

Every month, the Hennessy shop-in-shop will host mixology events, offering Hennessy X.O cocktails and recipes for passengers to enjoy.
“Extime Duty Free Paris is honoured to collaborate with Maison Hennessy on this updated version of Les Caves Particulières, which proved a tremendous success at Terminal 2E Hall K,” commented Extime Duty Free Director General Guy Bodescot.
“We know that customers in Terminal 1 will enjoy this new feature in the gastronomy, spirit, wine & Champagne section, an essential part of the ultimate Paris shopping experience in this new terminal — and a sign of other beautiful joint projects yet to come.”
Moët Hennessy Asia Pacific, Travel Retail & Private Sales President Laurent Boidevezi added, “The Hennessy shop-in-shop at Paris-Charles de Gaulle T1 takes the customer experience to an unprecedented level, not only for the quality of its Cognacs, but because it materialises the House’s role as a worldwide ambassador for the French art de vivre.” ✈
