Hideo “Dale” Ichida steps down as Chief Commercial Officer (Non-Aeronautical) at Kansai Airports

JAPAN. Hideo “Dale” Ichida is leaving his role as Chief Commercial Officer (Non-Aeronautical) at Kansai Airports, effective 31 March.

Ichida, who has been in the role for four years, will return to Orix Corporation in Tokyo, the company that operates the airport group in a joint venture alongside Vinci Airports.

Ichida said: “My time here has been a very positive experience for me, learning about the airport business, especially in the travel retail segment with outstanding growth of inbound passengers, especially from China. While I feel sorry to leave at this tough time amid the coronavirus outbreak, I am sure we will see a gradual recovery in the not-too-distant future.”

When Ichida departs at the end of March, he will be replaced by Stephane Geffroy as Chief Commercial Officer (Non-Aeronautical). Keiji Takano will take the role of Deputy Chief Commercial Officer (Non-Aeronautical).
