INDIA. Yesterday was a red-letter day for GMR Airports Limited as it took over the running of Delhi Duty Free at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
Delhi Duty Free was formerly run as a joint venture between Delhi International Airport Limited, ARI subsidiary Yalorvin Limited and GMR Airports Limited.
The company took over the business at 00:00 on 28 July in line with its notice to the Indian stock exchanges on 21 August 2024 that it been named the selected bidder to develop, operate, manage and maintain duty-free operations at India’s busiest airport.
Indira Gandhi International Airport is operated by Delhi International Airport Ltd, a GMR Group-led consortium (story continues following the advertisement below).

The company already runs duty-free shops at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad; Dabolim Airport, Goa; and Kannur International Airport. ✈
