HMSHost International extends UK footprint with Ca’puccino partnership

UK. HMSHost International has announced a new licensing partnership with Italian food chain Ca’puccino at Heathrow Airport.

The agreement marks the start of a partnership between HMSHost International and Ca’puccino that will see more outlets opening within the next five years.

Ca’puccino, located in the centre of Terminal 2, offers contemporary Italian dishes, specialty coffees, desserts and wine.

Ca’puccino opened its first restaurant in 2006 in Barberino Designer Outlet near Florence. In 2008, the company opened a location at Harrods. Ca’puccino currently has 11 eateries in Italy and six in the UK.

HMSHost International CEO Walter Seib said: “HMSHost International has clear ambitions for growth. This agreement with Ca’puccino marks a significant milestone in our strategy to increase our footprint in the rapidly expanding and dynamic UK marketplace through a strong local brand. Our goal is to become the UK’s undisputed and most reliable food & beverage operator.”

Ca’puccino CEO Giacomo Moncalvo commented: “We are extremely pleased and proud to have partnered with such an important operator as HMSHost International. This coupled with our openings in Dubai early 2017 will cement the future of Ca’puccino as a global brand, signifying our second great milestone after our private equity partners B4 joined us in 2013.
