USA. Hudson, part of Avolta, has expanded its presence at New York John F. Kennedy Airport with five travel convenience stores in Terminal 8.
The additional locations were developed in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Airports, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and American Airlines.
The stores offer a wide selection of magazines, snacks and beverages, travel essentials, local souvenirs, and consumer electronics, among others.
The openings build on Hudson’s launch of its consumer technology concept iPorte, which debuted at the terminal in March.
As reported, the additions form part of Avolta’s duty-paid concession in Terminal 8, which includes a total of five travel convenience stores.
Under agreements spanning more than 11 years, the travel experience player will develop a range of stores and restaurants as part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s US$125 million commercial redevelopment of the terminal. The project is being carried out in partnership with URW Airports and American Airlines. ✈
