INDIA. Hyderabad Duty Free has extended its spirits offer at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with the addition of Wise Monkey, which recently became the first Indian rum to claim a gold at the London Spirits Competition.
With liquor as its leading sales driver, Hyderabad Duty Free underlined its aim to offer products which reflect the evolving tastes of its international customers. The travel retailer said the addition of Wise Monkey rum marked a “significant enhancement” to its portfolio.
As reported, Wise Monkey joined Delhi Duty Free’s premium liquor line-up at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport earlier this year.
Wise Monkey was launched in 2018 by Nirvana Works International and is now available across the UK, UAE, Bahrain and Zambia.
Wise Monkey’s three blends – Indian Spiced Rum, Café Rum and White Rum – are available at both Delhi Duty Free and Hyderabad Duty Free stores. With prices ranging from INR1,390 (US$16.66) to INR1,690 (US$20.26) the rums have become bestsellers at Delhi Airport and Nirvana Works Business Development Executive Chel Medrano anticipates a similarly enthusiastic reception at Hyderabad.
