INDIA. Hyderabad Duty Free (HDF) has launched a ‘Click & Collect’ service for shoppers at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It is available to arriving and departing passengers, who can pre-book their purchases online and collect them when they travel.
HDF, a division of GMR Hospitality and Retail Limited, said the move would make purchasing duty free “easier and safer for international flyers”.

Travellers must first register at www.hyderabaddutyfree.com. They can key in their travel and passport details, select their goods and place an order well in advance of planned travel, with a receipt issued by the system. Collection is made in-store. Special discounts and promotions are available through the HDF website that are not open to in-store shoppers, said the company.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport said: “Online shopping has become the ‘new normal’, and this facility will be a step forward in providing an enhanced passenger duty free shopping experience at the airport. HDF is witnessing a good number of visitors on its website, who are curious to check product availability, prices and promotions. The Click & Collect platform will help in converting these visitors into buyers.”
