This exclusive expression, sourced from the renowned Speyside region, has been aged in a first-fill bourbon cask, resulting in its rich and distinctive flavour profile.

Bottled at cask strength in September, the 11 Year Old single malt offers what is described as “a true taste of Scotland’s whisky heritage”.

Aberdeen International Airport Managing Director Mark Beveridge said: “We are thrilled to introduce this exceptional whisky as part of our 90th-anniversary celebrations. This limited-edition release not only pays homage to Scotland’s rich whisky tradition but also symbolises the enduring legacy of Aberdeen International Airport as a gateway to the world.

“It was incredibly fitting we were able to share this fantastic endeavour with our supporters in the Town House and we know many are now keen to get their hands on a bottle when they travel through the airport.”

World Duty Free Category Manager for Liquor in the UK Paul Martin added: “Within our World Duty Free stores, we are constantly looking for new, exclusive and exciting liquor products to offer our customers.

“We are therefore proud to partner with Chieftain’s and bring this exquisite whisky exclusively to our Aberdeen customers, in celebration of Aberdeen International Airport’s 90th anniversary.”

The civic reception at the Town House highlighted the enduring partnerships and community ties that have helped shape the airport’s success over the past 90 years.

The evening served as a tribute to the airport’s past achievements while also setting its sights on future success for the region.

Councillor Neil MacGregor, who hosted the Civic Reception on behalf of the Lord Provost, said: “I was delighted to host the civic reception that marked the 90th anniversary of Aberdeen International Airport. The city’s international airport has played a vital role in the success of Aberdeen’s economy and business and trade industries.

“The launch of the limited-edition whisky is a fitting way to mark such an important milestone.” ✈
