SPAIN. Passenger numbers at Spanish airline Iberia rose to 1.9 million in January an increase of +4.3% compared to the same month last year.
The airline said passengers on medium haul flights were up +6.2% and on long haul flights were up +8%.
It said its passenger load factor in January rose by 1.9 percentage points from a year earlier to 70.9% of capacity, a record for the month.
Passenger load factor, which measures the proportion of an airline’s available seats sold, stood at 71.9% in December.
