Images of the Day: Avolta brings fun, colour and loyalty to Tan Son Nhat Airport passengers

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

VIETNAM. Not just Images of the Day but images from today.

Today’s selection comes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, gateway to Ho Chi Minh City where The Trinity Forum 2024 concluded yesterday (6 November), writes Martin Moodie.

One of the event’s star speakers was Avolta CEO Xavier Rossinyol who spoke passionately about the need to entertain passengers and offer them fun. Happy passengers will spend more, he contended. He also outlined the heady ambitions that underpin the company’s new loyalty programme Club Avolta.

Rossinyol was due to fly out of Tan Son Nhat International this afternoon, a few hours after me. And like me, he will no doubt be delighted by the vibrant, localised and, yes, fun promotion of Club Avolta taking place in the Avolta-run food & beverage zone in international departures airside.

The sumptous use of Avolta (and Club Avolta) colours in the excellent Saigon Cafe. Bar. Kitchen is equally compelling. I enjoyed a pre-flight coffee there in the good company of Avolta Business Development Director Asia Pacific Joao Freitas in this expansive and impressive outlet and met a few of the hard-working Avolta frontliners. How good to see such teamwork bringing a global idea to fruition with a  local twist.✈

Straight from the Xavier Rossinyol playbook: I get to meet a very human artwork, an adept juggler and then discover a Vietnamese craftsperson at work
