MOROCCO. Today’s selection of images comes from Avolta, which recently kicked off the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 tournament (21 December 2025-18 January 2026) across its Morocco Duty Free airport stores.
As reported, the Avolta AFCON 2025 campaign spanned six key Moroccan airports, including Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier and Fez.
The retailer rolled out a series of interactive, football-themed experiences, entertaining sporting fans with digitally enabled retailtainment experiences in celebration of the tournament.

At other locations, travellers enjoyed interactive entertainment, ‘totems’ that unlocked games, rewards and brand content alongside an augmented-reality experience through the Club Avolta app. Tailored communication through the Club Avolta app added further customer engagement during match periods.
In addition, Avolta launched exclusive AFCON merchandise and a curated selection of brand partnerships supported by gift-with-purchase mechanics, product tastings and other targeted promotional activities. These included live performances from football jugglers and face painters.
As Morocco welcomed teams and supporters for AFCON 2025, Avolta successfully leveraged the sporting fever to drive commercial momentum across its African travel retail network during one of the region’s most high-profile sporting and tourism occasions. ✈
