HONG KONG, CHINA. Duty Zero by cdf is putting the finishing touches to a comprehensive refurbishment of its two main stores at Hong Kong International Airport. And as today’s choice of images reveals, it has done a mightily impressive job of it, writes Martin Moodie.
Duty Zero by cdf is a joint venture led by majority partner China Duty Free Group (CDFG) alongside Lagardère Travel Retail. However, CDFG now manages all the buying and the revamped offer is a reflection of that.
Not surprisingly, Duty Zero by cdf offers a particularly well-ranged (and beautifully merchandised) Chinese liquor & tobacco assortment and international Cognac and whisky categories.
But it doesn’t stop there. The wine offer has become much more extensive (with a noticeably broader price range from entry point to First Growth Bordeaux); the white spirits offer is suitably eclectic; and there are plenty of esoteric surprises in the rum and single malt categories.
