INDIA. Our selection today comes from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, showcasing the latest big-name addition to an already impressive food & beverage line-up.
In a LinkedIn post, GMR Group Associate General Manager Mohammed Ashfaq reveals the opening of Giraffe World Kitchen by HMSHost (Avolta) in the domestic terminal.
“This new F&B outlet offers a delectable array of world cuisine, perfect for travellers seeking a diverse dining experience,” said Ashfaq.
“A great addition to the Hyderabad Airport. Great job by the team,” added GMR Airports Chief Executive Officer, Duty Free Business (Hyderabad, Goa, Kannur) Kishore Devarakonda.
From its UK origins, Giraffe has become an international success story across the airport food & beverage world.
Today it has restaurants at Birmingham, Heathrow and Manchester airports in the UK; Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru and Rajiv Gandhi International in India; Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat and Málaga–Costa del Sol (two) airports in Spain; Hamad International Airport, Qatar; and Dubai International Airport (two).
As reported, Aero Plaza (pictured below) at Rajiv Gandhi International was named Airport Landside Food Hall of the Year at The Moodie Davitt Report’s recent Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards. “The outlet is highly appropriate for the local market, featuring clever activations, a well-ranged brand offer and top-class staff and service performance,” the judges said.
“More than a food hall, this is an ambitious, brilliantly executed destination.” Aero Plaza was also voted Regional Winner for Asia Pacific.
