Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.
AUSTRALIA. Our images selection today comes from Sydney Airport. They focus on an exclusive partnership between leading Sydney craft gin distillery Hickson House Distilling Co and Heinemann Oceania to promote the limited-edition Harbour Bridge Gin Series in Heinemann duty-free stores.
The Hickson House Harbour Bridge Gin Series will see a new gin released every year in the run-up to the Sydney Harbour Bridge’s 100-year anniversary in 2032.
Appropriately, the gin is produced at Hickson House Distilling Co’s distillery in the historic Metcalfe Bond Stores, The Rocks, located in the shadows of the world-famous landmark and just a stone’s throw from Sydney Harbour (see image below).
The first in the series – Release 01 Breaking Ground – commemorates the historic turning of the first sod in the iconic bridge’s construction back in 1923.
The gin uses ingredients sourced in the Australian state of New South Wales and across the wider country.
To celebrate the launch, Hickson House Distilling Co is offering consumers the chance to win one of three Ultimate Sydney Harbour Experiences with every purchase of Harbour Bridge Gin online or in-store.
The experience includes a Harbour Bridge Summit climb for two, a Hickson House distillery tour and a A$150 (US$100) dining voucher.
The first expression in the Harbour Bridge Gin Series has been available in Heinemann stores since 8 May. ✈
