Our regular feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

Today’s images show the diverse, multinational team at integrated retail marketing, design and communications agency Purple coming together to plant over 200 mangrove trees on the Indonesian island of Bintan just after TFWA Asia Pacific last week. Their work supported local coastal protection, biodiversity and carbon sequestration in the intertidal zone of the Sebung River.
The tree-planting underlined the commitment at the agency to sustainability, and proved a valuable team exercise for the ‘Purple Nation’ representing people from 12 countries.
TFWA Asia Pacific was the first occasion that all 40 members of the global agency had gathered together since Purple was formed in 2020.
During the week-long show, the agency delivered a variety of projects to their clients. These included designing and building exhibition stands, showcasing new activation and permanent retail concepts, hosting workshops and press events, and handling more than 30 media engagements.

Purple Managing Partner Olivier Grometto commented: “Recognising and celebrating what has been achieved by this tremendous group during the past three years apart was made incredibly special by this moment as one together.
“This extraordinary, shared experience has strengthened the fundamentals of our business – talent, relationships and co-creation – as we continue to build on our mission of Purpling the World sustainably.” ✈
