UK. Today’s selection of images comes courtesy of the Heathrow Airport retail team, and shows the first retail and dining outlets to begin trading at the reopened Terminal 4 on Tuesday.
There is a neat mix of travel essentials and news & books (WHSmith), core category duty free (World Duty Free) and a varied F&B offer. More outlets will open over the Summer as airline occupancy increases.
Retail & Property Director Fraser Brown said: “Great to see Terminal 4 going from shuttered to open today with a great opening retail offer.”
The first of 30 airlines moved to the site earlier, led by Qatar Airways.
The move allows Terminal 4 airlines more check-in space and stand capacity as well as access to their premium facilities. It will also free up space in Terminals 2, 3 and 5 ahead of the Summer peak. Over the last two years, the airport company has refurbished many parts of Terminal 4.
