RUSSIA. Russian Standard Vodka today announced the launch of its luxury brand Imperia in a limited-edition Swarovski Crystal Crown version.
20,000 bottles will be available worldwide from August 2011 in selected international airports as well as high-end hotels, restaurants and clubs, premium local market stores and spirits boutiques.
The vodka, crafted in St Petersburg, features a bottle adorned with 24 clear Swarovski crystal beads intended to symbolise the purity of the spirit.
The quartz crystals are taken from the Ural Mountains, a source of many of Russia’s precious stones and natural resources.

Russian Standard Vodka International Commercial Director Global Duty Free & APAC Walter Kooijman said: “We are proud to present the Imperia Crystal Crown Edition, a 21st century revisit of the time-honoured tradition of vodka heritage, and the Imperial luxury which drives us to ultimate perfection.
“The elegant Imperia crown cap references the special place that hats and headwear have held in Russian society for centuries, as the height of one’s headpiece traditionally indicated one’s social status.”
