Incheon retailers join forces to promote domestic brands

SOUTH KOREA. Incheon International Airport Company (IIAC) has partnered Korea Tourism Organization, Shilla Duty Free and Lotte Duty Free to open a group of shops offering Korean brands at Incheon International Airport.

The airport said that the 295sq m area within the duty free shopping area is intended to support the finest domestic brands and introduce products from local small- to medium-sized companies to the travelling public.

Brands offered in the new shops include MCM, J.estina, Hazzys and Samsung Cuckoo.

IIAC Chief Executive Officer C.W. Lee said: “Incheon Airport is a gateway to Korea, and opening these shops will provide a good opportunity to effectively display excellent Korean domestic brands to global passengers and promote sales. We hope this also contributes to opportunities for expansion overseas for domestic brands.”
