ARGENTINA. InterBaires will commence work on two major new stores at Buenos Aires Ezeiza airport by mid-February, aiming to complete them within one month.
CEO Enrique Urioste told The Moodie Report that the first outlet would be a 1,200sq m (12,912sq ft) arrivals store in terminal A. “It’s a very aggressive concept featuring a complete walk-through area so passengers cannot avoid the area,” said Urioste.
The store in terminal B (served by Aerolineas Argentinas) is almost 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft)). The dual-purpose arrivals/departures shop offers a sharp increase in space from the former 400sq m (4,304sq ft).
“We’re confident we can achieve construction by the middle of March,” Urioste said.
