Interparfums signs 20-year global licence deals with David Beckham and Nautica; extends Guess licence

Interparfums has struck exclusive, 20-year worldwide licence agreements with David Beckham and Nautica for the creation, development, production and distribution of fragrances under both brands.

The agreement will see Interparfums assume full global responsibility for David Beckham’s fragrance portfolio, effective 1 April 2028 and for Nautica from 1 January 2030.

David Beckham is co-owned by Authentic Brands and Sir David Beckham, while Nautica is owned by Authentic Brands. Both are currently managed by Coty.

Commenting on the partnership with David Beckham, Interparfums Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jean Madar said: “We are delighted to collaborate with David Beckham, who embodies modern sophistication and timeless elegance shaped by determination, authenticity and refined taste.

“This milestone agreement further strengthens our relationship with Authentic Brands Group, the visionary company who co-owns and manages the David Beckham brand. Together, we will blend Beckham’s entrepreneurial influence with our fragrance expertise to inspire a richer world of style and self-expression through scent.

“Guided by our dedication to quality, innovation and craftsmanship, we will strengthen the global presence of Beckham’s existing fragrance lines and plan to unveil a new signature fragrance by the end of 2029. We estimate that total annual sales will exceed US$50 million in the first years under our management.”

Authentic Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Salter added: “We are pleased to partner with Interparfums, whose strategic vision, operational excellence and fragrance expertise are unmatched in the industry. With the incredible success they have achieved with Guess fragrances, we’re confident they’ll bring the same level of creativity, quality and long-term value to the Beckham brand.”

Sir David Beckham added: “With their outstanding reputation for craftsmanship in fragrance, I’m delighted to announce my partnership with Interparfums to evolve my fragrances for the long-term. Together with their world-leading team, we will create products that are distinctive and timeless. I can’t wait to get started.”

Commenting on the Nautica deal, Madar said: “Nautica is world-renowned for bringing the inspiration of the sea to everyday style. We are thrilled to collaborate with this global lifestyle brand to enrich their existing portfolio and develop new fragrances that channel the maritime spirit in a modern and accessible manner.

“We estimate that total annual sales of the Nautica fragrance portfolio will exceed US$70 million in the first years under our management. We remain grateful for the continuing relationship with Authentic Brands Group and appreciate their continuing trust in our abilities.”

Salter added, “Interparfums has proven to be a wonderful partner, which is why we’ve entrusted them with multiple brands in our portfolio.”

Earlier this week, Interparfums and Authentic Brands extended the licence agreement for the Guess brand for an additional 23 years. The fragrance company will continue to assume full global responsibility for the creation, development and distribution of Guess fragrances until 31 December 2048.

Madar said: “This extension underscores the enduring strength of our partnership with Guess. After more than seven years of building its fragrance lines, and now midway through our original agreement, we have heightened the Guess fragrance portfolio to global prominence, gaining market share through innovative scents and sophisticated packaging.

“Our collaborative efforts have captured consumer hearts worldwide while driving impressive sales growth in key markets.

“Since joining our portfolio in 2018, we’ve launched several successful blockbuster scents, including Bella Vita and Uomo, and have built on the Seductive pillar. In 2024, we introduced the women’s Iconic fragrance, followed by its men’s version in 2025, both of which have performed exceptionally well.

“We have a robust pipeline of dynamic fragrance launches on the horizon. We remain committed to continuing to serve the Guess brand with dedication and excellence, as it continues to rank among the largest in our portfolio, with additional scalability ahead.

“We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Paul Marciano and with our new partner, Jamie Salter, Chairman and CEO of Authentic Brands Group.”

Guess Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer Paul Marciano commented, “Interparfums has continually demonstrated outstanding expertise in managing the Guess fragrance business, delivering innovative products that strengthen our market position.

“The early extension of our long-standing partnership emphasises the strong trust and satisfaction built through our collaboration to date, as well as our shared confidence in continued successful growth ahead.”

Salter added, “We are confident Interparfums will continue to deliver creativity, quality, and long-term value to Guess fragrances.”
