Heather Cream will be relaunched with an updated look and a new brand identity |
UK. Scotland’s Inver House Distillers will relaunch the Heather Cream liqueur with an updated look and a new brand identity – “˜The Cream of Scotland’ – at the TFWA Asia Pacific show in May.
The international relaunch represents a new focus on the brand and will incorporate a complete redesign of the bottle, stylish new packaging, a print advertising campaign and on-pack promotions focused on Heather Cream cocktails.
The original recipe is unchanged. Heather Cream is the only cream liqueur on the market to include the Balblair fine single malt whisky, combined with fresh dairy cream, for a subtle, creamy chocolate taste.
Inver House Distillers, based in Airdrie, Scotland, owns and operates five distilleries at Pulteney, Balblair, Knockdhu, Speyburn and Balmenach – each producing its own single malt whisky.
Its Old Pulteney 17yo Single Malt, Old Pulteney 21yo Single Malt, Old Pulteney 12yo Single Malt, Balblair 16yo Single Malt and Speyburn 10yo Single Malt recently won Double Gold, Gold and Bronze medals at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, which took place on 18 and 19 March.
Inver House Distillers Brand Manager Nicola Ball commented: “We are confident that consumers are going to love the newly revamped Heather Cream product and the “˜Cream of Scotland’ identity. Our hope is that the sleek and contemporary new design, combined with the delicious original Heather Cream taste, will be a real winner.”
Mixologist Humberto Marques of one of Edunburgh’s top restaurants, Olorosso, has created a range of summer cocktails as alternatives to the traditional Heather Cream over ice. Packaging is available in 700ml (70cl), 1000ml (1 litre) and 350ml (35cl).
Inver House Distillers hopes the relaunch will drive volume in the off trade and encourage take-up by consumers.
A range of consumer sampling events is also being planned during 2006, supported by a new Heather Cream website.
