Issey Miyake explores the mystery of the night with Nuit d’Issey for men

Beauté Prestige International has unveiled Nuit d’Issey, a new male fragrance from Issey Miyake developed by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Loc Dong.

Described as an ode to wood, the sharp and crisp fragrance was created on a leather backbone surrounded by woods and spices. Their composition was designed to convey the idea of “adding light to the night”.

The top notes feature citrus accords of bergamot and grapefruit. A leather accord emerges in the middle notes, enhanced with spices, black pepper, wood and vetiver. The base notes include patchouli as well as tonka bean.

The black perfume bottle is made of glass that changes from a smoky gradation to a streaked black, to evoke the moon’s reflection and its halo of light on the water’s surface. It is topped by an opaque, matte black cap and presented in a box with a symbolic horizon line separating the two black tones of the bottle.

For the ad campaign, Issey Miyake has collaborated with visual artist and photographer Ryan Hopkinson.

The fragrance is available as a 75ml and 125ml edt.
