Jersey Mike’s Subs opens at Washington Dulles International

USA. Jersey Mike’s Subs has opened an outlet at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in partnership with Hojeij Branded Foods (HBF). The restaurant, which opened on 4 September, is located in Terminal A.

Jersey Mike’s VP Non-Traditional Development Phil Capozzi said the company was “excited” about the partnership with HBF, adding that the new outlet was “the first of hopefully many more units we will open with HBF.”

HBF COO Eastern Region Claude Guillaume commented: “HBF is excited to introduce another great dining concept for passengers at IAD to enjoy, bringing the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favourite national brand – Jersey Mike’s – into the airport.”

Jersey Mike’s, which describes itself as a “fast-casual sub sandwich franchise”, currently has 1,500 restaurants either open or under development across the US. It was named the country’s fastest-growing Limited Service Chain and fastest-growing sandwich chain in the 2018 Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100.

Jersey Mike’s Subs has outlets at four other airports: McCarran International in Las Vegas, Newark Liberty International, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, and Orlando International. The company added that it expects to open its sixth airport location at Charlotte Douglas International later this year, this time in partnership with HMSHost.
