UK. JHP, a London-based design consultancy known for its work in travel retail, was awarded “˜Store Design of the Year’ at the World Retail Awards for its work on Shinsegae Department Store.
The 12-storey store, located in Uijeongbu in South Korea, was noted by the international panel of judges for its “clean lines, great circulation, innovative materials and finishes and its ease of shopping”.
This marks the fourth award that the project has won this year, with the World Retail Award being “a particularly special honour to receive”, the company said.
Held recently in Paris, the World Retail Awards is said to be the only global retail industry awards that recognise and honour retail excellence.
