Jo Malone and WDF open new stand-alone boutique in Heathrow T4

UK. On Friday 10 September Jo Malone opened a new store in London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, in partnership with World Duty Free (WDF).

“This store follows the introduction of the Jo Malone stores in T3 and T5 at Heathrow, and we are confident that it will be as successful as the other stores in this airport,” commented Estée Lauder Travel Retailing Europe-Middle East-Africa Vice President General Manager Jean-Charles Séité.

Like its predecessor in T5 (above) the Jo Malone boutique in Heathrow T4 aims to deliver “a unique sensory experience”


The 41sq m stand-alone store incorporates many signature elements from Jo Malone’s flagship London store, such as the library-style shelves, linear glass bottles and iconic gift boxes.

The boutique aims to deliver a “unique sensory experience, set within an interactive retail environment and delivered with exceptional service and unrivalled creative flair,” according to the brand.

Travellers are able to sample an extensive collection of colognes, bath oils, body lotions, body crèmes and shower gels from a range of 19 different scents. They can also learn to create their own signature scent via Fragrance Combining, or enjoy a relaxing, complimentary Lime Basil & Mandarin hand and arm massage.

The T4 boutique features a Tasting Bar, where travellers can select their preferred fragrance from the Jo Malone Tasting Menu – a seasonal list incorporating various fragrance combinations and inspirations.

Customers’ chosen scented body crème or lotion is whipped or folded, warmed or chilled and then combined with the fragrance of their choice before being used in a luxurious, complimentary hand and arm massage.

Travellers can also receive a customised Scent Surroundâ„¢ Consultation, during which they learn how to use Jo Malone’s innovative home fragrance products, such as linen sprays, scented candles and living colognes, to create the perfect environment for any taste, mood or occasion.

Lastly, the shop provides a personalised gift-giving service. Customers can choose from pre-selected gift ideas, or create bespoke gifts tailored specifically for their recipients.

Each purchase is hand-wrapped and enveloped in signature Jo Malone packaging: a cream-coloured box, soft black tissue and an elegant grosgrain ribbon.
