SOUTH KOREA. Hon Corporation, a leading jewellery company in Korea, has appointed Jonathan Holland & Associates as managing agent in travel retail for its Walt Disney Jewelry line.
Walt Disney Jewelry, for which Hon has a global travel retail business licence, already has a presence onboard several airlines and downtown duty free shops.

With this partnership Hon aims to expand the brand’s travel retail footprint in 26 countries/regions: Japan, the US, the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, India, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Hon plans to introduce Walt Disney Jewelry on most major airlines in 2010 and embark on a special travel retail exclusive collection with a French fashion designer.
Its growth strategy for travel retail will move into high gear in 2011 as the company aims to develop its ground duty free business in airports. Plans are being prepared for the launch of special Walt Disney Jewelry gift sets, combining items such as jewellery, watches and leathergoods.
Hon also plans to attend the 2011 TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore and TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
