JAPAN. Kansai Airports today announced a diverse array of stores, food & beverage outlets and other consumer services for the commercial zone within phase 3 of Kansai International Airport’s (KIX) ongoing Terminal 1 renovation.
The area will house 13 outlets, including duty-free and speciality retail alongside various services and dining options, within the fourth-floor international departures area, third-floor international arrivals area and the ‘Tasty Street’ food court on the second floor.
The openings continue KIX’s ambitious development that last December saw the historic unveiling of T1’s impressive new airside departures area. That area is anchored by a 2,500sq m KIX Duty Free walk-through store, complemented by a specialist, destination and luxury retail zone – including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Chaumet, Gucci, Hermès, Bulgari, Hermès, Prada and Tasaki boutiques – and an extensive food & beverage offer (including the first airport Café Dior by Anne-Sophie Pic).
The Moodie Davitt Report was on location to deliver exclusive global coverage of last year’s opening and will bring you follow-up first-hand coverage in spring 2025 when a T1 Grand Opening will be held.
