L’Oréal-owned natural skincare company Kiehl’s has partnered with The Trevor Project to celebrate Pride month.
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest LGBTQ suicide prevention and crisis intervention organisation. It offers free and confidential crisis services through phone, chat, and text programmes. It also operates education, research and advocacy programmes in addition to running Trevorspace, the world’s largest safe space social networking platform for LGBTQ youth.
Kiehl’s donated US$100,000 to The Trevor Project and partnered with the organisation to launch digital self-care campaigns for both June and September. The campaigns aim to promote inclusivity, diversity and equality along with the brand’s #HealthySkinForAll philosophy.
The company is also launching several charity fundraising and virtual programming initiatives to support the collaboration.
On 5 June, Kiehl’s will host a virtual dance party — together with LGBTQ ambassadors — to encourage its followers to support The Trevor Project. It will also run a -20% off promotion online and in stores from 18 June to 24 June. Customers will also receive an exclusive ten-piece gift set with a minimum purchase of US$120.
In addition, Kiehl’s is launching the ‘Kiehl’s x Trevor Project Self-Care Hub’, to provide 24/7 life-saving resources to LGBTQ youth. The hub’s launch will coincide with the brand’s self-care month activities and with National Suicide Prevention Month in September.
