SOUTH KOREA. Shinsegae Duty Free has unveiled an exclusive pop-up store from acclaimed high-end fashion house KIMHĒKIM on the luxury 8th floor of the retailer’s flagship Myeong-dong, Seoul location.
This marks the brand’s first-ever standalone pop-up within a duty-free retailer and represents a bold showcase of K-fashion’s elevated global status, Shinsegae Duty Free said.
“Positioned alongside world-renowned luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Burberry, KIMHĒKIM brings a distinctly Korean creative vision to the international shopping stage,” the retailer said.

Founded in Paris in 2016 by designer In Tae Kim, KIMHĒKIM has drawn international acclaim for its fusion of traditional Korean artistry with contemporary couture. The brand is known for its elegant tailoring, ribbon and pearl embellishments, and a signature aesthetic described as ‘obsessively beautiful’.
KIMHĒKIM has been an official member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode since 2019 – making Kim the youngest Korean designer to earn the distinction. The brand has consistently presented its collections at Paris Fashion Week, solidifying its global reputation.
In addition, it was awarded the 15th Samsung Fashion & Design Fund, a prestigious recognition supporting Korean designers with global potential.
At Shinsegae Duty Free, the KIMHĒKIM pop-up offers a curated selection from the brand’s latest collection, including dresses, skirts, jerseys, jackets, and a full range of accessories such as hats and sunglasses.
The pop-up will run through December 2025, giving travellers a rare opportunity to experience Korean luxury fashion at its finest in an exclusive duty-free setting, Shinsegae Duty Free said. ✈
