King Power Thailand’s Pornprasit Kumsri, a visitor to the Bacardi digital booth at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo, has won a bottle of Craigellachie 33-Year-Old valued at US$3,000.
Visitors to Platinum Partner Bacardi’s virtual experience all had the chance to enter a daily quiz and win the coveted prize. Kumsri, chosen in a prize draw on 16 October, took home the limited-edition single malt whisky.
In all, 13 Bacardi visitors won prizes at the event. Besides the grand prize, there were three prize winners each day from Monday through Thursday of Virtual Expo week.
Visitors and exhibitors continue to use the Virtual Travel Retail during the bonus one-month post-show ‘encore’ period, with access to the Bacardi showcase here.
The award-winning Craigellachie 33-Year-Old is part of Bacardi’s Exceptional Cask Series, a collection of limited-edition whiskies hand-picked by Malts Master Stephanie Macleod.
Bacardi said it is a tribute to those who made the whisky over 33 years ago and the teams in the warehouse that let it rest for over three decades.
Tasting notes: A beautifully balanced, smooth and rich liquid with a swirl of smoke in the background.
After 33 years in oak, the flavours of cedar wood, exotic fruits and rum & raisin ice cream fold together harmoniously, granting a creamy cereal complexity to the liquid. The smooth taste gives way for a lingering sweet almond note and creamy finish.
