HONG KONG, CHINA. The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is to feature KPMG Head of Consumer and Retail ASPAC Anson Bailey as a presenter at the upcoming Summer in the City networking event in Hong Kong on 21 August.
The event, to be held at Duddell’s in Central, is open to members and non-members.
Themed ‘The future of seamless commerce in Asia Pacific’, the presentation will focus on the new benchmark shaping the future of consumer retail and key learnings from a new report published by KPMG earlier this month.
The report explores the new era of retail, driven by an end to the differentiation between online and offline channels. It also outlines how businesses and consumers in the region are adopting seamless commercial strategies across different markets and geographies.
Anson Bailey said: “The consumer expectation is that social media, delivery innovations, apps, websites, automated messaging and other digital interactions seamlessly integrate with traditional brick-and-mortar stores. Retailers must stay agile and flexible to stay relevant, especially to tech-savvy Gen Z who expect retailers to be on the ball.”
APTRA President and King Power Group (Hong Kong) CEO Sunil Tuli added: “Anson is a long-term and generous supporter of APTRA and his presentations are always packed with valuable insights delivered with his signature style of translating data via humorous story-telling into highly relatable learnings. We are very grateful to him for giving his time.”
In keeping with APTRA’s non-profit status, tickets are priced at US$100 per person to cover costs and are selling fast. Places can be booked via admin@aptra.asia.
As previously announced, Pernod Ricard is generously supporting the evening with champagne and cocktails from their portfolio. ✈
