Label 5 Scotch Whisky has unveiled its first single grain expression, matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks.
Export Manager Stéphane Donat told The Moodie Davitt Report that Label 5 Bourbon Barrel will be rolled out this November with Dubai Duty Free, Sharjah Duty Free, Muscat Duty Free and Qatar Duty Free.
“It’s a key step forward for the brand and a great proof of its legitimacy in this very competitive market,” he said. “Label 5 is now among the key Scotch whisky brands in the Gulf duty free channel.”
“The launch of Label 5 Bourbon Barrel marks a very exciting time for the brand,” said Label 5 International Brand Manager Julia Pinoncély. “Unveiling a single origin grain Scotch whisky as part of the Label 5 collection further cements our expertise in the market and will be of great appeal to our consumers and partners across the world.”
The new expression is produced by Label 5 First Blending Company, a fully integrated site near Edinburgh that features a grain distillery, maturation warehouses and bottling facilities, notable for a ‘state-of-the-art’ approach to sustainable manufacturing.
Label 5 Bourbon Barrel is available in 70cl, 75cl and 100cl bottles with an RSP of around US$19.80 for the 70cl version.
